Greetings, and welcome to the ftp.wsd2021kk.com site.
This site is not secure but we are using it only to converse informally.
It's really more like a public bulletin board or a kiosk.
You can leave notes, or letters and files, ask questions, request instructions, etc.

Before we log in with a username, the user has to be on your computer. Make sure to create a user on a User with Administrative privleges. 
If you don't have them, change users to an administrator. Right click the windows logo in the lower left of the screen. Choose settings.
Click on Accounts. And click on Add(+) Family & other users. 
It will say "Family and other users" at the top of the page. Click on Add someone else to this PC. 
The Microsoft box will come up asking for an email address.  Just click "I don't have this person's sign-in information." 
Next the Microsoft box asks to Create Account. Just click "Add a user without a Microsoft account."
Now it says Create a user for this PC.
Under User name type FTPGuest. 
And Type the same thing for the Password, and Re-enter the password, FTPGuest.

They ask you for 3 security questions in case you forget your password. 
Choose from the dropdown list "What was your childhood nickname?" Type Phil (like File for File Transfer Protocol).
For the second question, choose "What's the name of the city you were born in?" Type LA. 
For the third question, choose "What's the name ofthe first school you attended?" Type Public. 
Click next, and you've created a username that can log into the FTP site.
(If you changed to an Administrator, be sure to sign out and sign back into your own Username before continuing.)


Right click the windows start button at the bottom left of your desktop.

Select Run, and type CMD and press enter.

In the command prompt: type ftp to enter file transfer program mode.

You will see ftp>

Type open and press enter to open a connection.

You will see To:

Type ftp.wsd2021kk.com and press enter to connect to the ftp wsd2021kk.com site.

You will see a breif welcome message which tells you to use FTPGuest for the username and password.

Be sure to use capital letters and lower case letters.

User: type FTPGuest and press enter.

You will be prompted for the password. 

Type FTPGuest in capital and lower case letters (you won't be able to see the password typing), then just press enter.

The program will connect to the site and the site will tell you "connection active".

Type help for a list of commands.

Type status for a short status report.

Type dir or ls for a directory contents list.

Type lcd to see your base directory from which you called the ftp program and to which you will receive or send files from.

You can change your LCD directory by changing your directory before you start the ftp program. 

Change your directory after taking out the command prompt by typing cd \, then cd {wherever you want} .

For instance, cd Users, then cd {your username on your computer} ,then type ftp.

Type send to send a note or text file .txt.

Type recv to receive a file from the list in the dir contents.

For instance take out a notepad, or any text editor, like Word, and type your name or email and a short comment with the date (and time).
(People do this as Dx-ing with ham radios, Dx stands for distance, so maybe include your country, and a state, or city.)

Save that text. or doc file to your lcd directory with a unique name like your initial with a date, ie., kk0718.txt.

Now send that note to the ftp.wsd2021kk.com site.

YOU CAN SEND AND RECEIVE ANY FILES THIS WAY. 

To disconnect, type disconnect. The site will send a goodbye message, "now disconnected".

Type quit or bye to close the ftp prompt, and exit to close the command prompt.
